Heartbreak and Redemption

I've been through a many pain and heartbreak,
And hurt all the more and one more time,
But nothing adds up to the strain and heartache,
Of lacking the courage to make you mine,

I've wept, oh sure I don't care- I'll admit it,
And I've felt all the grief of a thousand men,
But you know that I care even if you don't get it,
For this heartbreak I'm feeling is mutual sin,

And I've cried and I've lied and I've hurt and been hurt-in,
I've made bad decisions and closed up my curtains,
And then opened back up to my own self reveling,
But I've never quite felt like this feeling I'm feeling,

And I've got only you and myself to blame,
for you are the one who controls my game,
You're the reason I smile and proclaim self redemption,
Your love takes my heart to a whole new dimension.

A dimension that not even I can explain,
With happiness and heartache as one in the rain,
And it pours and then sprinkles showing off in the sunshine,
All fed by the thought that you'll want to be mine.
