How do I tell you, all that I feel? When I myself wonder "is this all real?" Emotions lie dormant, lost in the past, now they've all surfaced, the current runs fast. I've been swimming in a sea of regret, heading towards shore, as days turn to sunsets. I've never allowed much love in my life, when I did it cut like a knife. I felt my heart bleed, and heard my heart break. But here I now stand, wiping cobwebs from my eyes, and picking up the pieces from my past full of lies. The sun rises just as it sets. The water is receding in my sea of regrets. Off in the distance I see a rainbow, I feel my heart string, as love begins to grow. You take a step towards me, and offer your hand. Two sets of footprints now lay in the sand. Will you be with me, with each new sunrise? And slide down the rainbow where the pot of gold lies? Will you take my hand in yours, and never lead me astray? Will you love me and need me with the close of each day?

Your poem is very beautiful. It actually sums up the way I feel about my bf. I don't see him all the time but I am always thinking about him and the times we have shared.
