Famous Love Poems - Love Poems by Emily Dickinson

It's all I have to bring to-day

by Emily Dickinson

It's all I have to bring to-day,
This, and my heart beside,
This, and my heart, and all the fields,
And all the meadows wide.
Be sure you count, should I forget, --
Someone the sum could tell, --
This, and my heart, and all the bees
Which in the clover dwell.

A poet's work should not be critisized,
for it always is part of their soul.
And if you shouldn't take like of it,
why then, don't say anything at all.

Emily Dickinson was and still is cherished because she was an amazing poet. She self exiled herself to better understand the world without human's disastrous and conforming ways of life. She did without many things such as a family in order to put down on paper her unique versions of the beauties in life. So don't judge what you don't know... If you have issues with how this amazing poet wrote or didn't write her poems then just remember this. Emily Dickenson wrote because doing so was her passion, not to please you.
Wats she's saying is

Whats she's saying is that she's giving everything she has, correct? That's how much she loves this person she's thinking of. But somehow it's not enough.

How can you say put more feeling into it? The only person who truly understands the exact meaning of the poem is the poet, you can't tell them to put more feeling into it, when thats how they feel. If you really think you can write a better poem than Dickinson did then why don't you show us, instead of putting down a classic that you don't understand.

Our vast universe is too small to contain,
What all lovers seek to gain.
But if your efforts are just a smidgin,
You'll mistake a Dove, for a pidgeon.

I am old, and it frightens me to think the young have leared so little from the immortal words of someone like Dickinson. If you can read this poem and miss the obvious statement that her love is limitless, then you will miss so much of life?

I can't believe some of you don't know who Emily Dickinson is...she is so awesome. Her poems may not be sing-song, but they are surely from the heart!
