Love's Philosophy

 Percy Bysshe Shelley

The fountains mingle with the river,
And the rivers with the ocean;
The winds of heaven mix forever
With a sweet emotion;
Nothing in the world is single;
All things by a law divine
In another's being mingle--
Why not I with thine?

See, the mountains kiss high heaven,
And the waves clasp one another;
No sister flower could be forgiven
If it disdained its brother;
And the sunlight clasps the earth,
And the moonbeams kiss the sea;--
What are all these kissings worth,
If thou kiss not me?

LOVE SPIRITUAL
Written by K.S.NARASIMHA REDDY on 2009-05-02 07:33:03 IP:
the piece is at once transcendental and elemental, seperation between which is only ideational. the poet sees the gross elements (human body and mind) as manifestations of their subtle essences and creates the imagery of one pining perennially for the other, they,of course, being one and the same. embodied individual consciousness, though one with the universal consciousness, always appears pining for the other, this being the philosophy of Shelly's 'love'. in null

She wants to be with him but he doesnt want to be with her. She feels that he is her "soulmate" and that he belongs to her. She see's other couples showing each other affection and wishes that with herself and him.
Terrific

Love's Philosophy

A fine gentleman called Kevin sent me this poem. After reading it, I felt for the first time in 5 years that I could love and be loved again. It is so amazing that the beauty of verse is powerful enough to break down the walls that have been protecting my healing heart.
I shall always love him for this but sadly can never tell him because he is in a relationship!.

A fine gentleman I have come to know , Kevin, sent me this poem. After reading it I felt, for the first time in 5 years, that I could love and be loved again. It is so amazing that the beauty of verse could be powerful enough to break down the walls that have been protecting my healing heart for so long. Sadly I can never tell him because he is in a relationship but I shall always love him for that, secretly!...........

Simplistic explanation:

Love is part of nature.

The author and his beloved are part of nature.

Let the human enjoy love as does nature.

I like how everything is related to the way someone feels towards someone else. Interesting...
