ODE TO JOHN


I weep for you now, though I shed no tears
My thoughts have been with you throughout
all of these years
We met when we were in our teen, many
years ago.
We fell in love and used to dream of future
years we'd spend together.
We vowed our love would last forever.

Then things went wrong, our paths did stray
Our love was lost along the way
I remember with all my heart, and soul I
loved you.
We vowed we'd never part, it was not to be
We never kept our vow, I regret that now.

I weep for you now, today,
For you have left and gone away to your
place in Heaven, peace at last,
Your worries and suffering are in the past

I weep for you now, the tears they just
flow for the one I lost so long ago.
We'll meet again in Heaven my love,
when the time is right.
So until then, my first true love,
God Bless You Dear, and Goodnight
