Can you count all the times
That you’ve mended my heart
Just so you could again
Crush it, Break it apart?

Yet, you’ve got no idea
That I’m hurt all the while
Cause I hide all my pain
With a laugh and a smile

All my rage and frustration
They are secrets to you
I’m a pretty good actor
Cause you don’t have a clue

I have made it an art
It’s greatest learned skill
Hiding all of this damn
Fuckin pain that I feel

Yet sometimes it leaks through
Sometimes I botch my act
Sometimes you see my pain
Sometimes I can’t hold back

I regret if you noticed
I didn’t wanna seem shallow
But sometimes it’s too much
It’s more than I can swallow

This was so well written. Me and my boyfriend, have done nothing but argue the past week, and this describes exactly how I feel. I\’d print this out and frame it if i could. Ha.

Yes..this is so tru..i try to fake a smile all the time,but my pain is always writen all ova my face. the pain hurts to much to keep bottled up inside,and eventually, you will only hurt yourself. if a man is hurtin you that much, you have to find your own happiness..thats what im going to do. :sigh

I find this quite average, but mere words of frustration. I fear it fails to capture the feelings of the heart, but more the frustration of the mind. It does not captivate

I been heartbroken for a year and a half straight. Yesh life has been pretty sucky, but I\’m trying to get through one day a time. I consider myself in recovery right now. Becasue I\’m really trying to heal from all the humiliation and hurt. I love this poem. I can reelly relate. :cry
