Trapped

Published by at 10:42 pm under Lost Love Poems

Looking for the perfect thing to say.
Changing. Conforming. A flow of beautiful movement.
Losing the will to fight as clouds cover our sunny days.
Buckets of rain collect our tears and failures, but never wash away the pain.
Overflowing and useless.
Searching for reasons to move on
Reaching for the strength.
Coming up with empty hands, broken and weak.
Behind closed doors I muffle my cries
And when you see me I’m nothing, but fake smiles and lying eyes.
Time stands still like it never did before.
Trapped between fixing us and wanting more.

    Extremely well done.
I love how the last 4 lines rhyme. Also, what you were trying to say, I think, was clear, yet still left you pondering what to make of it.
I love the title. It was very appropriate.
Overall, this was a great poem, in my opinion.
