You put on a fake smile;
So that no one sees your sad.
You sit in your room alone;
So that no one will see you cry.

You always wear long sleeves;
So you can hide all the cuts.
You act as if you’re perfectly fine;
But really on the inside you’re screaming.

You say that you’re fine being alone;
But really you’re terrified at the thought.
You put on a strong front;
Because you don’t want people to know how weak you really are.

You don’t want people to know these things;
Because you’re scared they’ll leave you.
You’ve never really fit in,
Because people think you’re a freak.

You have dreams of everyone leaving you;
And you’re scared this will come true.
You’re whole life you’ve wanted to fit in…

So now that you have the chance to;
You’re afraid of people finding out the real you
