And Here I Thought We Could Be Forever

I walked for so many miles and days,
Looking for a lover who would stay,
But I became lost along the way.

I let my tears fall for the millionth times,
Looking from left to right for a sign,
But I was too blind to see the light.

If I could give up one thing in life,
It would be you by my side,
Knowing you could never love me like I had in mind.
And here I thought we could be forever.

You were too perfect for my own good,
Making my beating heart turning blue,
Feeling as if I was your tool.
And here I thought we could be forever.

I gave you my heart,
But you shattered it into many fading stars,
Causing our love to part.

And here I thought we could be forever,
Like two doves flying together,
Into the unknown atmosphere.
