Defend love
A war of love shines across the ground,
People wounded by heartbreak,
Soldiers of revenge carry the dead,
Some lie paralyzed with their life at stake.
No matter the how loud the lovers weep
No matter how many sacrifices they make
It wouldn’t soak and seep,
The heart of heartbreak.
Life will still be a book of darkness
The pages soaked with blood,
Words made up of letters, shapeless
After the war, arrives the flood.
Will love never stand at the starting of the line?
Will it be always judged by the cynics?
Will love always be the reason to cry?
Or will it be erased by the critic?
Smoke whisper the to the skies
Telling it to rain
Is it to wash away the cries?
Or is it to bring more pain?
Kiss my heart goodbye
It was the only one that believed in affection,
But now it is gone too
Leaving me with the common infection!

awesome and very powerful words!
thanks
I love the third stanza – it was the highlight of the poem IMO. Also, you’re rhyming was done very… naturally and elegantly.
The whole poem, overall, was, in a way, very… melodious.
The feelings in it were very strongly expressed and easy to relate to.
Another thing i loved was the way the poem was so unnervingly true.
