i can hear it
like the ocean
waves lapping against the shore
slowly
coming
closer
the tide is high
ill drown in the sun
like a pack of wolves, the wind howls my silent agony
in a breath of salty sea
my life vanishes before me
and i am burned
burned by the pink of the dancing sun
it laughs as it rests upon the horizon
it waits
still
for my last
final
intake of breath
and i am but dust upon the sand
nothing but a speck
to be washed away by water
a salty grave
a grave full of secrets
the sand, a living deathbed
crawling over my skin
it wants me
it wants my blood
soon the water is stained scarlet
and i am devoured
not by the water
but by self-loathing
and hatred
my life was but a speck of dust, dont u see
i did not make a dent
i did not save a life
i did not have a purpose
my blood was washed away
my agony seemed to sta
it was carried on, my pain
to the next
such a horrifyingly beautiful circle
complete but for insanity
my mind is lost
my soul, the cost
i shall never again watch the sun
the one who, by watching,
bore witness to my descent into depraved holiness
for i myself
am not myself
i am called by the name given
not the name deserved
i am her, the one made by ashes
and she is me
we live in harmony
but my curse has risen
and we can no longer divide a body
for i am her
and she is me
but we are not ourselves
how could we be
when the land is made of stone
and the hero
my hero
our hero
has left us alone
my sister, my twin
my friend
we have become polar oppisites
we cannot unite in sorrow
we cannot share the pain
we will seek oblivion
we will need silence
and i have nowhere to go
bcuz she wont rest
until the ashes
the dust
my drifting soul
is found
and
destroyed
and
in return
i will do the same
an internal battle
me against…
me?
