Dividing Line

Published by at 7:23 pm under Cute Love Poems

You sit alone
Sipping Chardonnay
Tasting its solitude
Glancing at vacant chair
Your ears thirst
Wonderful conviction
Begging to hear
Whispered words
I love you

I sit alone
Sipping Beaujolais
Gazing at walls
So much to give
Awaiting life to
Allow me
To hold in loving arms
A lonely friend
To dry her tears
Rolling down
Delicate cheeks
As the film ends

My ears thirst
Wonderful conviction
Begging to hear
Whispered words
I love you

How long must we endure
A division
Of souls

Forged In heavens fire…
