Don’t let me step foot outside of this door.
Help me and hold me and please don’t ignore
what I am saying. I say it in fear
Tomorrows are harder. Tomorrow’s too near.

Tell me I’m precious and don’t let me leave
Keep your eyes on me. Forever. Please.
Don’t let me wander away from your arms
Save me from death and myself and from harm.

Make up a story or sing me a song.
Keep me here with you and I’ll sing along.
Don’t let me go. Not ever. Not now
I’m willing to live but no longer know how.

Tell me you’re sorry. I know that you are.
You know if you let go, I wouldn’t get far.
There’s no home to go to: There’s you and there’s me;
This bed and your arms and me trying to breathe.

I need you to love me so please don’t ignore
the things that I’m saying. I say them in fear.
I need you to hold me. I need to be here.
