Forget me now

Published by at 6:20 am under Heartbreak Poems

You put my heart on a plate,
And stabbed it with a fork.
I was hungry for love.
But you were already full on our shallow lust.
We became a fading passion.
So now alone with a gaping hole inside my chest,
I bleed for you
My foolish oblivion,
Unaware of the truth,
Unworthy
Or undeserving, its all the same.
A dead sensation,
Numbs the pain.
A failed quest for love.
Your head above the clouds,
Mine beneath the ground.
