Happy New Year
The clock is ticking and here we go
Toasting and dancing as we crow
Another year’s closing its chapter and is ready to bow
Before the coming year as it’s about to start its show
What to expect; Nobody knows
And it doesn’t matter if hopes are on highs or lows
No one can tell until the wind blows
By then the unknown will be totally disclosed
Awaiting for the surprises; hopefully not bad
Preferably better or similar to what we had
No choice but to live our days while trying to add
Some flavor to the upcoming New Year’s ad
“Smart” is the one who chooses not to be
A passive player who lives just to wait & see
But is the one who’s determined to find the key
For a better life, a better year, and a better “Me”
I wrote this simple poem for only one reason
To greet you all on this festive season
My warmest wishes to my beloved ones in all regions
Blessed 2014 with many more happy occasions
