Helplessness.
One machine moves blood,
Another pumps some air;
I find it so comfusing,
These kids don’t seem to care.
The children seem not frightened,
The appear to be so brave;
The parents are the weak,
They pray their souls to save.
Naive at facing death,
Not knowing how to die;
Everyone so frantic,
As the child says goodbye.
Their life seems way to short,
But that just is not true;
They are playing up in heaven,
Waiting for me and you.
Oh my gosh!!!! That is beautiful. Sad but beautiful. It is so true as well. Well written! Love it keep up the great work!
I do not look back to much on this site, But thank you . I write a lot but rarely share ! This poem meant so much to me. i worked in a pediatric ICU and saw this all the time. Again thank you.
