Hurting

I guess
it’s gonna
have to
hurt.
I guess
I’m gonna
have to
cry.
I was told,
people
cut themselves
to make
the pain
go away.
If that’s true,
why am I
hurting?
Why am I
crying?
They say
it’s because
you’re emo.
I may be
emo.
But that’s
not why
the pain
keeps coming
back.
It’s because
of you.

    I love this poem. It’s true all the way. I never really figured out why people put us down for being who we are. Guess that’s just a part of life…
