I hold on to the dream of you

Oh how sweet your tender kiss
Upon my cheek so red
Blushing from the thought of you
and the fantasies in my head
In your eyes I see myself
As I truly want to be
Passionate, loved, desirable
Uninhibited and free
My dreams of you are passionate
Filling me with yearning
My thoughts of you are loving
Keeping my heart burning
To stroke your cheek, touch your face
Or run my fingers through your hair
I think I would do anything
Follow you anywhere
For it would fill my heart with joy
Just to see your face,
Feel your arms around me
In a deep embrace
Alas, for now, unsure of tomorrow
And if the circumstance will change
I hold on to the dream of you
While I keep my heart restrained

   i just want to say it is one of the most beautiful poems i\’ve ever read.. a good friend of mine also does poetry, and she\’s writing as beautiful poems as you do.

   You should see my mother!
   I’m sitting here with tears in my eyes and she’s afraid I’m going out of my mind, crying for nothing.
   When she saw the poem she understood.
