I’ll Get Away
As much as you’ve hurt me,
Coming back to desert me,
You’d think that by now,
I would know how,
To just stay away.
But this time I’m done,
You’re just not the one.
You’re done leaving,
and you’re done deceiving.
I’ll get away.
Because this time going,
No stopping or slowing,
I’m not done loving you,
But now I’m dumping you.
It still hurts this way…

I love the stanzas, they were very cleverly written. The rhyming was good.
What I really adored, though, was the very last line. The ellipsis at the very end was completely riveting, gave me goosebumps.
“I’ll get away” is a very good title, fits well with the poem.
Very nicely written – great imagery.
Thanks. I really wanted to convey surprise with the last bit..bitter, painful, surprise, as though being the one to do the breaking up would somehow take the pain away…but life never works that way…
leaving really doesnt mean that u dont love that person anymore. it just that the pain of loving her. its time to think and love your self.
