Innocence Stolen
Why must the worm intrude the maiden bud?
All of this white has been tainted by blood.
Innocence stolen, but nothing returned –
and evidence found would surely be burned.
You tell of intentions of sensitive care…
An unholy man of whom I should beware.
Unheard of, unspoken, untried and unfound.
A body lay buried six feet under ground.
Assurance was given before I was dead.
A man let his lust go straight to his head.
Prices were paid. Much blood had been spilled.
A man found me weeping before I was killed
Careless intrusion of all but my faith
All of this white could not help keep me safe.
Innocence stolen. None of it returned.
So many cries uttered yet none of them heard…
This is amazing truly a conjuration of pure orginality and talent!
Thank you for the kind comment :3
Hey Pixie sorry for the oddness of this reply. First I’d like to say that this poem was beautiful and it captures a lot of varying emotions in it. Second I was looking for
your Destroyed Poem (With one last note, my voice recedes One gasped lyric as my heart bleeds etc..) But it cannot be found or it is lost. Do you know where I could find it? 🙂
I’m sorry for the late reply – I’ve been having strange errors regarding comments on this site.
I had a look through my poetry. Once I found Destroyed, I received the same error.
I’m unaware of any reasons for its removal. My apologies for any inconvenience caused by this.
If you would like, I still have the original text file of this poem, and I’m sure I could send it to you somehow, or even simply copy and paste it here if you’d prefer.
Check this one 🙂
