Just One Night

Published by at 8:37 am under Teenage Love Poems

I need you here, I need you now.
Be with me, as you showed me how.
I don’t care what tommorow will bring,
Just for now, make my heart sing.

I’m tired of weeping, tired of it all,
Make me feel good, just come to this call.
Come to me, lay here tonight,
No one cares about the morning light.

Forget about it, you won’t love me,
So for tonight just let it be.
Kiss me like you did before,
At daybreak you can hit the door.

Hold me like you once did,
I don’t care if your feelings are hid.
Just lay with me, just tonight,
It might be wrong, but it feels so right.

For just one night, forget what we said,
Just for this eve, come to my bed.
Pretend that you love me, even if you lie,
Because if you don’t, I fear I might die.

I adore everything, except the first stanza. It was a bit of a weak beginning.
“It might be wrong, but it feels so right.” That was truly amazing.
The title was very nicely chosen, I think. It told me what to expect and i wasn’t disappointed in the least.
The whole idea of this was very inspiring – the way you made me feel that longing to be held one last time.
Also, it was written almost like a plea, which made it even more beautiful and gave me that sense of desperation that seems to leak from every word.
    I’m impressed.

Thank you, Pixie, it means a lot to me coming from someone with your skill. 🙂 I didn’t know what I was writing at first, I usually don’t I just let out what I’m feeling and give it a title so yeah, my beggings are kinda weak…I’ll work on that for next time. Thanks!
