Love and Death
You and I are parallel,
Like the highest heaven and deepest hell.
You’re dancing fire I’m unmoving ice,
And each will make their sacrifice.
For we are yet the same,
I the reverent silence and you the whispered name.
Deep we breathe and out we cry,
When light and shadow together lie.
You and I are love and death,
Greater than flesh, blood, or breath.
For our love is born in spirit,
Physicality cannot near it.
I love you for what’s beneath the skin,
The beauties of forgiveness and sin.
For where I’m silent you shall speak,
I’ll make you strong but you make me weak.
We’re as different as two can be,
But I’ll love you eternally.
Wow…
Is that a good ‘wow’ or a ‘wow, you tried really hard to make that sound good but it makes absolutely no sense.’? I know my rhythm was a little off after ‘You and I are love and death’ and the third line up from the bottom sounds kinda messed up. Maybe I should’ve made it, “I’ll make you strong yet I’m so weak” but that doesn’t sound quite right either…
Dude. Just shut up.
It’s a “oh my fucking goodness. How the fuck did u do that???” wow.
Ohkayy. Sorry, lol.
I don’t know why you think like that. I mean, you seem to think i can write, and if I can, so can you.
You’re one of the best poets (on this site) I know. Well, to be honest, probably the best, since the other guy… Well. Yeah.
Really, dude. Your work is brilliant.
Okay. Thank you very much then. You can write, and beautifully. So…yeah…moving on….lol…
