Love and fear
O eyes, why have you deceived me?
was it not just his flesh you saw?
or was it his spirit so content deep in his eyes?
how they made my heart tender..
when he’s there, i forget who i am
i mind only his presence till he leaves
three years have passed
still, no words between us
knowing only love and fear,
that this love, neither of us can afford
until an eternal debt is paid
how can a love that never began,
end with regret?
why, o heart have you deceived me?
were you not satisfied with what is before you?
but, you longed for the one thing..
one thing that could never be
