Love in life
Love in life
Robert Browning
Room after room,
I hunt the house through
We inhabit together.
Heart, fear nothing, for, heart, thou shalt find her—
Next time, herself!—not the trouble behind her
Left in the curtain, the couch’s perfume!
As she brushed it, the cornice-wreath blossomed anew:
Yon looking-glass gleaned at the wave of her feather.
II.
Yet the day wears,
And door succeeds door;
I try the fresh fortune—
Range the wide house from the wing to the centre.
Still the same chance! She goes out as I enter.
Spend my whole day in the quest,—who cares?
But ’tis twilight, you see,—with such suites to explore,
Such closets to search, such alcoves to importune!
that is a very nice poems

This is such an emotional poem. It makes you stop and think or at least it does me. Why don\’t we try harder to fix troubles rather than run from them.

I think poem shows that you can losse love even when you think you have it 🙂
with this english surely dies
or if already dead, then is retired from the dictionary
I think this poem is about looking for and pursuing love, but being unable to find it. “She goes out as I enter.” But he doesn’t give up; there are still more rooms to look into! More suites to explore! And it’s only twilight–the day hasn’t ended yet! 🙂
This poem is sad but lovely how he talks about his wife that passed away.
You really make it seem so easy along with your presentation but I find this topic to be really one
thing that I think I would never understand.
It kind of feels too complicated and very extensive for me.
I am looking ahead in your subsequent put up, I will try to get the hang
of it!
