My Beautiful Mistake

Published by at 12:32 am under Sad Love Poems

He was like a masterpiece to my eyes, the way the sky departs day and night.
Our eyes searching with much curiosity. Words spoken with so much familiarity, like we had known each other for years.

And just like that it happend to fast. Everything around us we let go of out grasp. i had you, and you had me. And for once, away from the outside world, we felt free.

with time I could see our minds changing, our souls were aging, and what we built was fading.
Even when i company i struggled to feel him there. Even when it was just Us, My hands felt cold to his touch.

that one night the stars Must have been aligned, his words stung from built up time. The words that forced the built up hurt from my eyes. My eyes became a window for the world to see. To see my pain, to see the hope i had for you dissapear.

And the long night of a silent cry and heavy heart set in. As the sun rose there came tommorow. I work my pretend smile and the rest that follows. That smile remained the same through the Day, and nothing to him had seemed to change.

In his eyes I am a open diary he can run too. He will always see me as a beautiful work of art admired from afar. but to me he is just another beautiful mistake that has a place in my heart.
