One Cold Heart
And herein lies the truth of love
that more than some are fearful of,
that makes us tremble, yearn and wait;
The neighbor of love must be hate.
And, therefore, hopeful fellow hearts
Let not your soul be torn apart
For love is freedom, love is time
Allow your tender heart be mine
Since hate is passion, love is deep.
The mountains of fret – endless. Steep.
And fall not from the cliff of pain,
for serving love brings much to gain
And all this time we’ve spent apart,
the truth has set free one cold heart;
Now what I tell thee must be true
For I have found this love in you.
