One red rose
bleeding and dripping
leaving dirt stains
where it’s laying
with my very own blood

i give it to you
one last thought.
i grew fond
of the love we have fooled ourselves
we feel

but everything must end
and eventually
become cold.

but say to me
the truth
and no more lies.

please blame me
for no love
i can continue to feel.

when i tell you
what i have done
you will abandon me
just like everyone else.

forgive me.
i’ll leave you alone
and when you forget my face
just look at the rose
it’ll tell you
everything you need to know.
