Pieces, pieces, everywhere
Pieces of me
Pieces of you
Pieces of everything I thought I knew
Pieces of forever
Pieces of never
Pieces of us that will never fit together
Pieces of my heart
Pieces of a bloody dart
Pieces that you still can’t ignore
Pieces that you lit on fire
Pieces of which you had no desire
Pieces stuck that I can’t remove
Pieces of a mystery
Pieces of a sick history
Pieces that will never be put back together
Somewhere around there’s a place, maybe a town
Where pieces come together
But for us that will be never
So just leave the pieces on the floor
Like you left my heart at the door

Love the last stanza. The title Pieces, pieces, everywhere is extremely creative, had me hooked before I even read the poem.
thank you
