Please, Stop
Baby, stop,
Stop hurting me.
I know that you’re scared,
Because I’m scared too.
But just ’cause I’m scared,
Doesn’t mean I can’t love you.
Stop doing this to us,
Put down the pills,
I’m more than in lust,
I love you still.
You can stop hiding,
All the fear and the doubt,
I don’t care what they’re saying.
You’re what it’s about.
Put down the drugs,
I’ll put down the knife,
Respond to the hugs,
And I’ll keep my life.
But I’ll keep cutting,
While you’re doing more.
But for you I’ll be waiting,
As I bleed out on the floor.
The rhyming was elegant. What you were trying to say, I think, came out very clearly. The title was attractive – lured me to read it.
The last line left me with this… I don’t know. It was powerful and it was memorable. This was absolutely fantastic.
It said a lot about the way you love and what love means to you.
I’m honored to have read it.
this poem is very well writtin and it has this story in it that makes me think of wat has happened with me in my past ,this is very good work
