Silence
Sleep come swiftly, please, this night.
I do not wish to have to fight.
Just this once, make my thoughts still.
If I don’t think, then I won’t feel.
The solitude is my escape from this broken,
weary state.
Come swiftly, and I beg of you, do not bring
fragile dreams at all.
Alas, they crumble as they fall
Even a single broken sigh,
may send them tumbling from the sky.
I do not wish to be in the way
if part of one should go astray
Throwing me far from my course, then taunting
me with no remorse
Hovering like a whispered lie that passed through the lips of an angel
This is amazing. I do hope you keep writing. : )
