So Caught Up in Misery
We’re so caught up in misery
And so caught up in pain
So caught up in the aftermath
And focused on the blame
Been so caught up in sadness
And so caught up in sin
Obsessed with all the bruises
And scars upon my skin
We’re so caught up in hatred
And so caught up in fear
So caught up in the poverty
And focused on the tears
We’re so caught up in failure
And what could never be
That we forgot to look for things
That might make us happy
