Before you break my heart again,
I have some things to say
I know you do not care for this,
But please don’t walk away.

I’m sorry that I let you down
I’m sorry that I lied
Forgive me for my lack of faith
But God knows that I tried

I’m sorry for insulting you
I’m sorry for my greed
Forgive me for my failed attempt;
A wasted chance, indeed.

I’m sorry that I couldn’t see
The value of a friend
I’m sorry that I chose to say,
The words that marked the end

I’m sorry for my attitude
I wasted so much time
For what I put the blame on you;
This shattered heart of mine

I’m sorry that I spoke deceit
I tried to make it true
But all mistakes I spoke of, then
Were mine and not of you

I’m sorry for my selfish acts
I’m sorry. You were right.
This wasted second chance of mine
Was worth more of a fight

Before you break my heart again,
I have one thing to say.
I’m begging you from on my knees;
Just please don’t walk away.
