Watercolour World

Published by at 10:58 am under Heartbreak Poems

It’s a watercolour world now,
Layering, blending, fighting the days
Strong colours rebel, turning beauty to hell
Leaving behind only ten shades of grays

In frustration he splatters, colours don’t matter
Throws the brush, walks away, leaves undone
Destroy it I must, he thinks with disgust
Just a monster – not loved one

And I watch it all from a place I’ve run to
Fearing things that will cause too much pain
All my life in flux, it’s becoming too much
Oh, he picks up the brush once again…..

Turns with a snarl, wanting rid of this trash
And pulls forth the sharpened long knife
Lights become dim, blending passion and pain
As canvas bleeds hues of a life
Blues drip from the tip, and light gleams from his blade
As it rises far over his head
One more attack, ripping thru to the back…
Lights out now,

And the world goes black.

The meaning was too deep for me.
But the poem itself was fantastic. Just because it sounded extremely awesome.

It speaks of the damage one can suffer at the hands of another – the ripping apart of a world. Thank you for your comment.

serena ~ we all are at times. And only knowing these low times will allow us to celebrate the divine times of our lives. You feel, you have passion, and that can be a source of pain, and of the most extreme ecstasy. You’d be amazed to know how many are strangers to these extremes.
