Where are you now?

Published by at 12:23 pm under Heartbreak Poems

She lays in bed at night,
Looking outside her window,
Staring at the moon and the world around her.
She wonders where in the world you are,
She wonder what you’re doing,
What you are thinking.
The scars on her legs,
The pain in her chest,
The tears in her eyes,
Are they not enough?
She can’t help but think there’s nothing for her.
Like there’s no meaning of life.
You disappeared when she needed you most.
Where are you now?
Do you think about her when you sit in bed,
Thinking of your life,
and the mistakes you have made.
Leaving,
Was that a mistake?

Still, the moon shines at night,
The stars twinkle.
Giving her the little bit of hope she’d neeeded to keep her going.
If one day, she were to disappear,
like you did,
But for good.
What would you do?
Would you feel bad?
Maybe you’d say sorry,
And wish you’d stayed.

All she has is hope that maybe one day you’ll come back,
And you’ll keep the promises you’d made,
You’ll pick her back up,
Put back all the pieces that were lost when you left..

You sure can. How’d it go? Wow, it’s nearly been a year since you posted your comment. Sorry, I’d forgotten all about this (:
