You’ll Never Change

Published by at 1:42 pm under Sad Love Poems

You’ll never change… never in a million years
Trust me, you can ask anyone, even greatest seers!!
Though you tried to, but have never stopped looking for veers
You’ve shut your heart & eyes, blocked your ears
While feeding your doubts, raising your false fears
Kicking everyone out, even your dearest dears
Denying all the good in life, cutting through with shears
Nothing has worked, not even sincerest tears
One day you will wake up, but it might take years
For you to figure out what you have done wrong by all means
One day you will… but why not now… Cheers!

This isn’t a rhyming style I would’ve chosen. It seemed almost… broken in the second to last line, because the word did not fit.
I love the meaning and I love the title, but this just didn’t really work for me.

Hmm, I’m inclined to agree with Pixie on your rhyme scheme but I would like to commend you on the abiguity of it all, you left me wondering whether these criticisms were actually towards another person or if this was you looking at yourself.
