Your Tar Pit
Why?
You took my heart,
You took my love,
You left me shattered,
But this is to far.
Not a memory,
Not a picture,
Not a letter,
You left a worse reminder.
You built a wall, around my heart
Not of wood nor stone,
Not of iron or steal,
The tar of heartbreak, from it is made
I am trapped inside,
Alone in the dark,
When I reach out, I am stuck,
When any reach in, I cannot be freed.
I try to love, yet am caught
My tears do not wash it away.
Like the dinosaurs caught in the tar,
Will I die in a from of tar also?
I can feel a life-line,
A thin, golden rope of hope.
I need another to pull me out,
But none have discovered it.
But it is still there, I hope it will be found
Voices call from the outside, my name is spoken!
I feel a tug on the golden line,
Am I saved?
I Hope so …
Hello. My name is Brendan, I was wondering, what is your real name? This poem is awesome, and I just want to find out what your name is so that I can have a name for this poem.
@ Brendan, I don’t actually like my real name, I prefer to go by Skyeraid, or Skye. I prefer to be unique and my real name is just to ordinary. I hoped that helped at all.
P.S. sorry I wasn’t able to respond any sooner, I hadn’t checked this site in a little while.
